October 2022 Newsletter

Since my last newsletter in September, I have experienced incredible things. I have witnessed a strong feeling of community and strength in the bygones of Hurricane Ian, a Category 4 storm that impacted our friends, neighbors, and our personal lives and the precious place we call home. For those of you that stayed, we are changed by our personal experiences. For those that watched from afar, it hit you as well with the fear of the unknown not being on the ground to see your property and check on friends. We will all have and be sharing our Ian stories for a while. Thankfully, I have spoken with many of you that were impacted the most and you are safe and quickly overcoming any physical loss of property. For this, I am extremely grateful!

Many now are asking, what does this mean for real estate in Naples, Florida. This is an excellent question, and we know that in the months and years following Irma we saw market activity because of the storm, and we expect, and are already seeing the same now. Many who have experienced a total loss are either selling or rebuilding. The process will be long given the already challenged construction industry for materials and labor. For those selling for lot value, this is an opportunity for both buyer and seller. In many cases the Seller was sitting on their greatest asset, land. We have had so few lots available in Naples, let alone West of 41, that now there are choices and inventory to choose from, but it will get snatched up quickly.

For some that are in single family homes and condos that experienced loss or damage to their property, this is that moment for renovations and new design to add value to their home. All of these things surrounding real estate will have a long-term impact on our market by adding value and creating a more beautiful and strong community for all of us to enjoy for many years to come. So, I once again say, it is always a great time to buy and sell property in Naples, Florida!

Feel Good News

Lastly, it has been an exciting summer leading up to the wedding of our youngest daughter just yesterday. Thank you all for the sweet well wishes. The happy couple had a magical day despite overcoming pandemics, hurricanes, and buying their first home! Thankfully, the home buying part was smooth. I think they had a good Realtor.
